Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Buyer," or "Seller") and TruckPartsXL ("Platform," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the TruckPartsXL platform, including the procurement board, bounty submission system, contact unlock service, and all related features and pages.
By accessing the Platform, submitting a procurement request, browsing the open contracts board, or completing a Stripe payment to unlock contact information, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using the Platform.
If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Nature of the Service
TruckPartsXL provides an online information exchange and routing dashboard designed to connect commercial fleet operators, repair facilities, logistics companies, and vehicle owners (collectively, "Buyers") with independent heavy-duty truck wreckers, salvage yards, and parts distributors (collectively, "Sellers").
TruckPartsXL is a marketplace facilitator only. We are not a dealer, broker, salvage operator, or merchant of record. We are not a party to any negotiation, purchase agreement, delivery arrangement, or warranty discussion between Buyers and Sellers. All transactions occur exclusively between independent parties.
By posting a parts request ("Bounty") or accessing buyer contact information, you explicitly acknowledge that TruckPartsXL is a processing conduit β not a participant in β any subsequent commercial transaction.
Eligibility & Account Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform.
- You must be acting in a legitimate commercial business capacity.
- Your use of the Platform must comply with all applicable federal, provincial, and state laws in your jurisdiction.
- You must not be subject to trade sanctions, export restrictions, or any order prohibiting you from engaging in commercial transactions.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when submitting procurement requests or making payments.
We reserve the right to verify your business credentials and to refuse service to any person or entity at our sole discretion.
Buyer Rules & Obligations
When submitting a procurement request ("Bounty") on TruckPartsXL, you agree to the following:
- All submitted information β including VIN sequences, OEM specifications, casting numbers, and component descriptions β must be completely accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge.
- You are submitting a genuine, bona fide commercial procurement request for a component you actually require.
- You assume full technical responsibility for verifying the compatibility of any parts sourced through the Platform prior to purchase and installation.
- Once a Seller makes contact regarding your request, all negotiations, pricing discussions, payment arrangements, and delivery terms are conducted solely between you and the Seller under your own due diligence and corporate protocols.
- You consent to your procurement details (excluding your name, phone, and email) being published on the public-facing board and pushed to a public GitHub repository, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You will not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent procurement requests for the purpose of harvesting seller contact information or otherwise abusing the Platform.
Seller Rules & Obligations
Salvage yard operators, parts distributors, and any other Sellers accessing the procurement board agree to the following:
- You possess legal title, lawful ownership, or authorized right to sell any component inventory you offer in response to a procurement request.
- You will accurately represent the condition, provenance, fitment compatibility, and specifications of all parts offered.
- You will comply with all applicable provincial, state, and federal licensing requirements governing salvage yard operations, parts distribution, and commercial vehicle dismantling in your jurisdiction.
- You will maintain accurate records of part provenance for a minimum of 5 years as required by applicable law.
- You will not attempt to contact Buyers discovered through the Platform through channels other than those provided by the Contact Unlock service.
- Misrepresentation of component condition, tampering with core assets, or failure to honor verified pricing commitments may result in permanent exclusion from the Platform at our sole discretion.
- Contact information delivered via the Contact Unlock service may only be used for the purpose of fulfilling the specific procurement request for which it was unlocked. Using buyer contact details for unrelated solicitation is prohibited.
VIN Data Standards
Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) submitted to TruckPartsXL are used exclusively for the purpose of facilitating accurate component matching. By submitting a VIN, you agree that:
- The VIN belongs to a vehicle you own, operate, are legally authorized to process, or for which you have a legitimate procurement need.
- The VIN is not associated with a vehicle that has been reported stolen, is subject to an active insurance fraud investigation, or is otherwise encumbered by a legal hold.
- You will not use the Platform to aggregate, harvest, or compile VIN data for any purpose other than legitimate procurement matching.
We reserve the right to cross-reference submitted VINs against theft and recall databases. If a submitted VIN is identified as belonging to a stolen or fraudulently obtained vehicle, we may be legally obligated to report this information to relevant law enforcement authorities.
Fees, Boosts & Stripe Payments
7.1 Standard Listings
Submission of a standard procurement request ("Bounty") to the TruckPartsXL board is provided at no charge to the Buyer.
7.2 Priority Boost ($9.99)
TruckPartsXL offers an optional visibility upgrade ("Priority Boost") for a non-refundable service fee of $9.99 USD, processed via Stripe Checkout. This fee is strictly for priority placement and enhanced visibility within the board interface. It provides:
- Elevated visual placement on the procurement board
- A "Priority" badge on the listing
It does not provide any guarantee of part availability, seller response, match confirmation, or transaction completion. Priority Boost fees are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.
7.3 Contact Unlock Fee
Sellers may pay a fee via Stripe Checkout to unlock the private contact information (phone and/or email) of a Buyer for a specific listing. See Section 8 for full details.
7.4 Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. TruckPartsXL does not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. By completing a payment, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service at stripe.com/legal.
7.5 Fee Changes
We reserve the right to modify our fee structure at any time. Changes will be posted on the Platform with reasonable notice. Continued use of paid features after the effective date of a fee change constitutes acceptance.
Contact Unlock Service
The Contact Unlock service allows verified Sellers to access private Buyer contact information (phone number and email address) for a specific procurement listing by completing a Stripe payment. By using this service, you agree that:
- The contact information delivered is provided for the sole purpose of fulfilling the specific listed procurement request.
- You will not use the delivered contact information for any purpose unrelated to that specific transaction, including unsolicited marketing, spam, or re-sale to third parties.
- Contact Unlock fees are non-refundable once contact information has been delivered, regardless of whether a transaction is completed.
- TruckPartsXL is not responsible for the accuracy of contact information provided by Buyers at the time of submission. We relay what was submitted; we do not independently verify contact details.
- Contact information is delivered automatically to the email address used at Stripe checkout. You are responsible for providing a valid email address at checkout.
Seller access to buyer contact details is subject to applicable privacy laws including PIPEDA (Canada) and CCPA (California). Misuse of unlocked contact information may constitute a violation of these laws and grounds for permanent platform exclusion and legal action.
